Responsibilities
Arcfield has an opportunity in support of an Enterprise Space Communications Architecture mission and is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Integration and Requirements Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with mission stakeholders and technical teams to define, document, and manage space-based communication system requirements. Arcfield has supported this critical program for over 40 years, and has a proven track record of providing outstanding customer support with consistently high award fees. This well-established, tenured Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) team wishes to add a candidate who will play a pivotal role in the planning and acquisition of communication systems, ensuring successful development efforts and delivery of cutting-edge solutions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical and programmatic advisory services during program execution of communication architectures.
- Translate mission needs into clear, structured requirements.
- Create and maintain requirement documents and traceability matrices.
- Track, evaluate, and manage changes to requirements throughout the project life
- Review and critique proposed requirements changes, ensuring system integrity is maintained.
- Facilitate communication between project managers, architects, and systems engineers to ensure shared understanding of requirements.
- Analyze existing systems and infrastructure to identify integration requirements.
- Apply best practices and requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, DOORS).
- Support process improvements in requirements engineering practices to increase efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's (or equivalent) in engineering related field with 10 to 12 years of experience or 8 to 10 years of experience with master's in engineering related field or 5 to 7 years of experience with Ph.D. in engineering related field.
- Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) support.
- Technical background in space communications technology.
- Experience writing and reviewing Government requirements documents and interface
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products.
- Excellent organization and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with government customers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products for planning and communication.
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in evaluating and integrating complex systems, identifying root causes of issues, and developing effective solutions.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/Digital Engineering.
