Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A Location: San Jose, Hybrid (3 days/week in-person) Department: Finance / FP&A Reports to: Senior Finance Manager Job Summary Adobe seeks a meticulous Senior Financial Analyst for in-depth analysis of cloud infrastructure spend and financial reporting. The finance team celebrates understanding the big picture, and this role will balance deep financial reporting and oversight, with strategic investigation and analysis. We embrace challenges and prioritize a positive work environment. Key Responsibilities Cloud Spend Analysis:
Analyze and forecast cloud infrastructure expenses (e.g., AWS, Azure, Data Centers), identify cost drivers, and monitor usage trends. Partner with Cloud Engineering and FinOps teams to surface cost optimization opportunities and track realization of savings. Build and maintain detailed cloud spend models and dashboards to support COGS and margin analysis. Develop and maintain cloud cost dashboards and financial models to support budgeting and planning cycles. Special reporting around consumption against contract commitments.
Resource Portfolio Analysis
Evaluate and report around the allocation of headcount and vendor resources across projects, business units, and products. Provide data-driven insights to influence decisions around hiring, vendor management, and efficiency optimization.
Quarterly Leadership Reporting
Lead preparation of quarterly business review (QBR) decks, incorporating financial and operational metrics for senior executives. Highlight variances, performance trends, and forward-looking risks and opportunities. Summarize financial analyses and scenarios into succinct insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations. Collaborate with other team members to build a consolidated report across all solutions in the Portfolio. Build visually engaging slides using tools like PowerPoint, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Maintain consistency, accuracy, and polish in all presentation materials shared with senior collaborators.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA 5-7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business analysis, preferably in a tech or cloud-heavy environment. High proficiency with presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.); experience with visualization tools a plus. Proven track record of influencing cross-functional collaborators and delivering insights to leadership. Solid business insight, connecting financials to operational drivers. Ability to handle numerous tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting Engineering, Product, or Cloud Operations organizations. Knowledge of FinOps principles and familiarity with unit economics, COGS, and margin modeling.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $96,100 -- $194,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
