Summary

The Multi-Modality Float position is a unique position to Lee Health. Successful candidates will possess a broad skill set across x-ray, CT, and MRI modalities. In addition, successful candidates will maintain the flexibility and adaptability necessary to thrive in multiple departments and over multiple shifts in any given pay period.

Performs diagnostic radiology imaging including routine, mobile, OR, fluoroscopy, and emergency procedures. Understands the computer software of the radiology equipment and maintains competency in radiology area.

Performs routine CT imaging including head, abdomen, pelvis and chest procedures. Complies with State and Federal regulations for radiation usage and safety. Evaluates and determines diagnostic image quality of recorded images. Understands the computer software of the CT scanners and maintains competency in CT area.

Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector in order to produce diagnostic quality MR images. Understands the computer software of the MR scanners and maintains competency in MR area. Consistently applies working knowledge pertaining to MR anatomy and patho-physiology to produce a high standard of quality images while under the direction of a radiologist.

Required to participate in "on-call rotation as determined per specific department needs. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Will perform all other duties as assigned by department leadership.

Requirements

Education:Graduate of JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiography program required.

Experience:5 years of multi-modality experience is preferred.

Certification:BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required. Must be registered in MRI and CT.

License:Florida Radiologic Technologist License required.

Other:MRI degree beneficial.
