We have an opportunity for a Category Human Resources Manager to join our Manitowoc, WI team. You will play a critical role in driving strong business performance at Pentair through progressive talent and culture practice as the HR business partner to various leaders and teams within the Commercial Water Solutions Business Unit. The role provides comprehensive HR leadership in a variety of areas including leadership coaching, organization design, change management, engagement, talent management, development planning, talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations and compliance. As part of the Ice leadership team, this role will primarily partner with the General Manager, functional leaders and teams at Pentair's Manitowoc, Wisconsin office and manufacturing site. The role will be based on Manitowoc and is expected to be onsite five days per week. This role will have global influence and matrixed responsibilities for regional operations and business teams.

You will:

  • Partner with leaders to define the necessary HR plans required to successfully execute the business strategies and deliver results for the business.
  • Assess organizational performance systemically, define talent gaps and propose HR solutions that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leaders on talent management and development initiatives to attract, develop and retain high-performing talent.
  • Proactively coach leaders on performance management, employee development, talent planning and engagement.
  • Support and guide organizational design activities to streamline and implement new organization structures, roles and/or processes that enhance speed and efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Manage annual processes for groups including goal setting, performance management and compensation planning.
  • Assist in recruitment activities to drive talent acquisition process.
  • Resolve employee relations issues and take steps to reduce the occurrence of issues.
  • Assess compliance systems and processes and make recommendations to ensure world-class compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Provide on-going assessment of adherence to compliance processes and take action as needed.

Key Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline
  • At least 7 years of progressive professional HR experience
  • Able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Be an excellent communicator at various levels within an organization.
  • Be willing to challenge the status quo and able to influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to build relationships quickly, to act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
  • Strong business acumen and an analytical mindset
  • Be results-oriented with proven ability to follow through while handling multiple and competing priorities.
  • Experience in company culture development and management
  • Solid project leadership and execution skills
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $110700 - $2056000 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
