Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Remotely with our client in San Antonio, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Technical Writer writes content and docuements to help end users make better decisions and complete online tasks.
  • They work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to craft micro-level content that enables user success.
  • They write documents, create process flows with supporting procedures and edit their work for distribution.
  • This skill is especially important as we migrate existing content pages and PDFs to our new content management systems in AEM (Adobe Experience Manager).
  • The Technical Writer will edit and write online content to ensure its is optimized for webpages and applications, it follows our style guide, and aligns with the objectives outlined by our marketing, change management, learning, and communication teams.
  • The Technical Writer is instrumental in developing documentation to help non-technical experts use our CMS tools to optimize their own content.
  • The Technical Writer clarifies complicated concepts, translates developer jargon into simpler language, and ensures draft content is optimized to meet the needs of our internal and external targeted audience.
  • The Technical Writer is a key collaborator across multiple disciplines.
  • The Technical Writer optimizes content from the user's perspective by understanding complex content from both the viewpoint of industry-experts and the average user.
  • The Technical Writer updates content in both our design prototypes and our final online tools.
  • The Technical Writer creates usable and accessible documentation to assist end users adopt and apprecaite new tools, determines the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, ensures our micro-content is written at our target readability level, meets with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed, updates procedures and documentation, copyedits content delivered by other team members, updates mockups before and after usability testing as needed to meet our User Experience (UX) goals, reviews analytics and recommends changes to optimize the UX, organizes information for the convenience of the reader, ensures writing is accurate, concise, conforms to our style guide; provides expertise to team members as we design components, templates, pages, and experiences for end users.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25.00 - $57.14 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (26 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in writing for the web, mobile applications, or digital tools.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in write and edit microtext.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in A portfolio or writing examples that demonstrate user centered design and business acumen.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Copy Editor.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in working with a cross-disciplinary team to design and launch user.
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Experience editing content in design tools like Figma.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
