Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Greets visitors and patients upon arrival.
• Confirms the authorized status of patients, visitors, associates, and vendors before allowing past the information desk.
• Issues visitor passes to approved visitors and vendors.
• Ascertains patients' and/or visitors' needs and directs them accordingly.
• Assists patients in calling for transportation, as needed.
• Identifies and promptly reports safety hazards, to include water on the floor, objects inadvertently blocking the doors, electrical cords (removed or taped), and misplaced furniture.
• Contacts Security, Environmental Services, and/or Facilities as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Basic Computer Literacy, required.
• Current BLS certification, preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills in speaking to visitors, patients, the general public and MWHC Associates and Medical staff, required.
• Ability to work independently, required.
