Job Title: Unified Communications Project Manager Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract (12-18 Months) Industry: Healthcare Client Type: Multi-Hospital Health System *Position Overview* We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unified Communications Project Manager to support a large-scale Telephony Modernization Program for a major healthcare system. This initiative spans two primary hospitals located in Kansas and Missouri, along with a network of ambulatory care sites. The program encompasses 15 distinct projects focused on migrating legacy telephony infrastructure to modern unified communications platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one or more workstreams within this transformation effort, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and effective stakeholder coordination. This is a remote position with strategic visibility and impact across clinical and operational domains. *Key Responsibilities* * Lead assigned workstreams within the Telephony Modernization Program. * Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. * Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and clinical stakeholders. * Oversee migration of legacy telephony systems (Cisco, PBX, Mytel) to Microsoft Teams VOIP. * Support SIP trunk migrations and integration with Epic telephony workflows. * Conduct infrastructure discovery for analog stations, paging systems, and copper lines. * Contribute to disaster recovery planning and data center vacating efforts. * Provide regular status updates and escalate risks as needed. *Required Qualifications* * Minimum 5 years of experience in unified communications project management. * Proven track record managing enterprise-level telecom migrations. * Expertise in legacy telephony systems including Cisco, PBX, and Mytel. * Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams VOIP and Unified Communications. * Strong understanding of SIP trunking, contact center technologies, and network access control. * Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience in healthcare IT environments. * Familiarity with Epic telephony integrations. * Background in cabling, installation, and infrastructure discovery. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
