Overview
The College of Engineering is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time Proposal Coordinator. This position will assist in the submission of grant proposals to various federal, state, local and private funding sources by assisting with budget development, internal and external communication, and collecting and coordinating required proposal documentation.

This position will be located on the main Logan campus, with the option for an in-state hybrid work schedule if desired. Initially, the position will be part-time at 20 hours/week, with the possibility to become a full-time position in future.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with pre-award/proposal initiation in Kuali Research system.
  • Coordinate, gather, maintain, and disseminate materials and information to support proposal writing by faculty.
  • Assist with the preparation of proposal budgets, working closely with business services staff and Sponsored Programs.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with research development and other proposal development staff.
  • May help research, identify, and disseminate potential individual, state, corporate, and foundation funding opportunities.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, as requested.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or certificate plus two years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education plus experience is required.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with faculty and staff.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently under tight time constraints.
  • Previous experience with grant proposal submissions, processes, and agencies.
