The Director of Corporate Accounts will develop and grow business relationships with KOL's, buying groups, IDN's, the Government sales channels and key strategic accounts. This individual must possess an advanced understanding of upper level selling and advanced relationship growth and maintenance. The Director will cover the United Sates and will focus on key strategic targets defined by the VP-Sales, the President, and Marketing leadership


Responsibilities of Director, Corporate Accounts



  • Advanced knowledge of national and corporate accounts landscape.
  • Lead team in departmental growth and identify opportunities.
  • Target is sales growth, establish contracts with GPOs/IDN's that provide access for our sales teams to convert business and expand our market share.
  • Hands on with marketing in submitting input and ideas to form targeted promotions to support nation buying contracts.
  • Manages strategic relationship with identified key accounts and serve as their internal representative. These key customers may be part of Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), part of an established health system, an academic hospital or be a Corporate Chain.
  • Work in collaboration with USGI sales leadership to identify a strategy for identified strategic accounts to achieve access, sales and gross-to-net maximization for PENTAX Medical.
  • Support Territory Managers and Regional Directors in sales to facilities affiliated with the assigned strategic targets.
  • Support the Regional Sales Directors and sales forces in the USGI, ENT-Speech and C2 divisions in liaison with targeted regional IDN's to secure agreements.
  • Spend 4 days a week in processes that advance the conversion, expansion of business within targeted accounts/group targets.
  • Successfully interact with the administrative level, and leadership level throughout various business groups. This includes but is not limited to regional hospitals, groups, ASC's, groups, teaching hospitals, and national purchasing entities.
  • Maintain the ability to act and react decisively, quickly, and informatively in conjunction with RSM's, VP-Sales, and other support personnel.
  • Using both traditional and creative techniques to develop relationships with key stakeholders, including attending events and trade shows, networking on social media, getting warm introductions, etc.
  • Take a leadership role in partnering with KOL and Key institutions.
  • Work with named accounts to identify their challenges and opportunities and offer solutions
  • Closely monitor accounts' satisfaction/activity and report on their status to Executive Staff
  • Build, maintain and routinely update the strategic account business plan
  • Schedule quarterly check-ins and annual meeting with accounts, providing information and gathering feedback, addressing any issues, and uncover areas for improvement
  • Prepare presentations and present recommendations for USGI products to key internal stakeholders to gain feedback and build alignment
  • Work in a collaborative process with sales and marketing leadership to create GPO/IDN specific strategy develop tactical implementation plans to achieve results.
  • Identify and work on processes that advance the conversion, expansion of business within targeted accounts/group targets
  • Ensure the CRM platform is kept up to date with key activities and the activities ongoing in the account
  • Take a leadership position in training programs held for new hires, and tenured reps.
  • Must have intact relationships with national buying groups such as HPG, Permier, Vizient ETC
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements of Director, Corporate Accounts:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 10 years of experience in the field.
  • Advanced level of business acumen and deal process expertise.
  • Advanced understanding of technical components of Pentax equipment as well as competitive equipment.
  • Team player able to work in leading support role/negotiation contact point etc.
  • Communication skills a must with information transfer to RSM, NSM, and taking place regularly.
  • Must possess an advanced understanding of upper level selling and advanced relationship growth and maintenance.
  • Collaborative, fast-moving, and comfortable with change
  • Advanced role during national trade shows; DDW, ACG.
