Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing a variety of activities in the department that support the movement of shipments, monitoring shipment progress in the transportation network, maintaining reports, processing of invoicing, etc. The assigned activities will be completed in accordance with routine procedures and processes. This is a hybrid role in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA). The expectation is to be onsite at least 1 to 3 days per week, and additional daysas needed.

Primary Duties

  • Update purchase order due dates for international purchase orders for all sites
  • Photocopy documents and prepareentriesfor clearance of international shipments for all sites
  • Maintain files necessary to comply with U.S. Customs regulations
  • Daily tracking of import shipments on Internet and update the import spreadsheet for all sites
  • Data entry of freight bills into the freight tracking access database
  • Obtaining requiredcarrierproof of deliveries
  • Freight bill auditing and monitoring of freight bill payment
  • Assist with coordination of and scheduling of trucks
  • Complete other tasks as requested

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus
  • Ability to work and think independently
  • Physical Requirement:Capability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three - six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
