Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.

The Community Service Representative - VFC (Vaccine for Children) Provider Support is Maricopa County's "front line" of all calls, questions, complaints, and concerns from the City of Phoenix VFC providers. You will provide support with vaccine ordering, storage, distribution, the Arizona State Immunization Information System (ASIIS), and the Vaccine Tracking System (VTrcks).

We Require

  • Two years of experience performing specialized office, administrative, or clerical duties

  • High school diploma or GED

Other Requirements

  • Employee must have reliable transportation, may have to travel to another location if coverage is needed

  • Must secure and maintain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and complete and pass a background check.

  • Within one month of hire, all employees will be required to provide evidence of immunity or receive immunizations for vaccine-preventable illnesses for any position within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health; required immunizations include MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Tdap (whooping cough and diphtheria), Varicella (chickenpox), and annual Influenza; some positions require a Hepatitis B vaccine and/or a Tuberculosis test

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

We Also Value

  • Experience in customer service, which includes over-the-phone

  • Experience with the Arizona State Immunization Information System (ASIIS)

  • Experience in a health care environment

Job Contributions

  • Manage and respond to and answer all incoming healthcare facility provider calls for technical support

  • VFC Provider Support - be a single point of contact for VFC providers to reach out to with questions, concerns, and needs for support may include but are not limited to approving orders, addressing order or shipping questions, processing wastage, returns, borrowing, and updating provider profiles; escalate any issues/concerns to the appropriate staff when needed

  • Assess healthcare facility and provider needs via the support calls and report trend reports to substantiate any quality concerns and possible additional training needs

  • Provide general ASIIS support to Vaccine for Children & Adult providers to help them navigate ASIIS/VOMS (Vaccine Ordering Management Systems), how to run ASIIS reports, and answer any questions or concerns they may have

  • Assist providers with merged or missing patient records, dose accountability, and reconciliation issues

Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

  • Position is typically office or administrative work
