Join our team as a Construction Superintendent in Atlanta, GA!
Gorman & Company is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This role is critical in leading on-site construction activities for multifamily residential projects, ensuring that each development is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and General Superintendent, serving as the on-site leader and primary point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, company policies, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors, and trades, ensuring work is executed efficiently and to quality standards.
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules, providing regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Manage job site logistics including equipment, materials, and site access.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and project documentation.
- Support a collaborative, professional, and solution-oriented environment while maintaining strong working relationships with partners, suppliers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of construction field supervision experience, preferably in multifamily residential construction.
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to travel or work extended hours as project needs require.
