We're currently looking for a Fleet Maintenance Manager to join our team and play a critical part in our daily operations. This role leads fleet maintenance and compliance, optimizing performance, safety, and cost efficiency. Key focus areas include preventative maintenance, repairs, DOT programs, and fleet technology systems. The position also drives vendor partnerships, oversees specialized projects, ensures fleet readiness, and provides training and guidance on repair strategies and lifecycle planning.

What You'll Do:
- Oversee Fleet Maintenance Operations: Manage maintenance, repairs, and inspections for a diverse fleet, including vehicles, forklifts, and warehouse equipment, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Ensure DOT Compliance: Develop and enforce policies for DOT inspections, DVIR execution, and service file management to meet regulatory requirements and maintain compliance.
- Develop Maintenance Schedules: Establish and adjust preventative maintenance intervals based on repair data analytics, engine hours, and fault code trends to minimize downtime and costs.
- Approve and Monitor Repairs: Review and authorize significant repair expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and eliminating unnecessary charges while coordinating warranty work.
- Manage Fleet Management Software: Serve as an expert in fleet management tools, overseeing implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting to support maintenance and compliance tracking.
- Coordinate Fleet Readiness: Lead annual fleet preparation efforts, including vehicle reconditioning and inspections, to ensure readiness for peak operational periods.
- Build Vendor Relationships: Collaborate with service partners to maximize vehicle uptime, secure warranty coverage, and reduce repair costs through strategic partnerships.
- Implement GeoTab Systems: Oversee the rollout, installation, and management of GeoTab devices, including digital DVIR transitions, maintenance reminders, and mileage reporting for tax purposes.
- Provide Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs for DOT inspector certification, GeoTab usage, and crane/boom inspection protocols to ensure team competency.
- Serve as Internal Advisor: Act as a key resource for locations seeking guidance on maintenance issues, setting internal repair rates, and determining vehicle lifecycle decisions.
- Oversee Specialized Projects: Manage fabrication and conversion projects, such as service body modifications and equipment installations, to meet operational needs.
What You Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with internal teams, vendors, and external agencies
- Prior experience in fleet management, transportation, or administrative roles is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
