POSITION

Allspring Global Investments is seeking a Senior Portfolio Analyst professional to join our Portfolio Accounting team.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Location(s): Milwaukee, WI

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform daily reconciliation of cash, positions, and transactions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely posting to accounting and trading systems.
  • Communicate effectively with custodians, internal operations, investment professionals, and relationship managers to resolve issues promptly and build strong working relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk and enhance efficiency across portfolio accounting functions.
  • Address root causes of recurring issues, often through technology-driven solutions.
  • Initiate and lead improvements across portfolio accounting processes.
  • Contribute to team activities including reconciliations, performance analysis, daily cash support, and complex derivatives.
  • Support implementation of new products and services through active project team participation.


CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, accountable professional with at least five years of experience in portfolio accounting, fund accounting, or related operational roles, and a demonstrated progression in responsibilities and leadership. The strongest candidates have a proven track record of driving process improvements and enhancing operational efficiency-particularly using Microsoft tools or collaboration with technology teams. Essential skills for this role include exceptional communication, particularly the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences, proactively, timely and accurately with the goal of mitigating financial and reputational risk.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5 plus years of investment operations experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and work ethic.
  • Demonstrated time management, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, mitigate risk, articulate risk, make sound decisions and propose solutions to various levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and execution excellence.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Enjoys working in a changing environment but able to focus on the task at hand.
  • Experience in other mid- and back-office roles including trade support, performance, portfolio operations, and client administration.
  • Experience with Advent Portfolio Exchange (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, Wall Street Office (WSO) and SS&C Recon.
  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and general facility with technology tools such as MS Access and Power BI.


Base Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
