PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Superintendent is responsible for directing and overseeing all on-site activities involved in the execution of projects, ensuring that they align with Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change. Working at the project site, the role provides leadership across a range of functions including construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and engineering. This position plays a key role in bridging current project needs with Worley's vision for a sustainable future, ensuring projects are completed efficiently while adhering to the company's sustainability goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage all on-site activities related to the execution of construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

  • Oversee the coordination of field administration, procurement, and field engineering efforts to ensure that project goals align with Worley's sustainability objectives.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that the work adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, working proactively to resolve issues that arise during project execution.

  • Maintain regular communication with company departments to ensure seamless project integration and coordination with other Worley business units.

  • Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation, ensuring that site operations meet Worley's environmental and safety standards.

  • Monitor project progress and prepare reports, ensuring that key milestones and objectives are met.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability-focused solutions, supporting Worley's goal to lead in sustainability and innovation in the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.

  • A university degree in a related field or a relevant trade qualification with additional training and experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading medium-scale construction projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of field administration, procurement, and engineering processes, with the ability to manage these functions within a construction environment.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence project outcomes.

  • A commitment to sustainability and innovation, with an understanding of how these principles can be integrated into construction project management.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions that align with company objectives and policies.

  • Experience working on projects of similar scope and scale, ideally within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards, with the ability to promote a culture of safety and sustainability on site.
