Position Summary

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the initiation and maintenance of standard work and other departmental procedures in order to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the Materials Group overall Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. This is accomplished through the use of Lean Tools in order to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation through the use of continuous improvement activities.



Shift: 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-11:00 on Friday

Duties

1. Use Lean Tools to identify, participate, and implement continuous improvement activities to impact departments overall quality, cost, and delivery initiatives within the Materials Group.


2. Develops and maintains standard work documentation and other AMI procedures to ensure compliance for Materials Group.


3. Perform 5S, Standard Work, Stand-in-Circle, and Inventory audits to identify opportunities of improvement for Materials Group.


4. Perform extensive root cause analysis using our 8 Step Problem Solving Tools and implement corrective action measures for Materials Group.


5. Assist area supervisor in maintaining and data gathering of information with area SQDC Boards.


6. Assist area supervisor in implementation of visual management tools within the Materials Group.


7. Assist area supervisor in management and identification of T-Card (5s) Audit Boards.


8. Participates and facilitate the implementation of Safety and Ergonomic improvements within the Materials Group.


9. Participate and facilitate the implementation of area Idea System.


10. Provide job specific training to new and existing employees where applicable


11. Monitor and maintenance of over 8,500 active part numbers; approximately 7,500 shop orders with variance reporting and analysis.


12. Maintain, evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in material requirements to drive down inventory levels.


13. Management of daily cyclical program and performs root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.


14. Manage and maintain inventory location integrity, assigned admin work centers, unplanned inventory transfers, and sub inventory interface reconciliation between AS400 and Oracle.


15. Responsible for creating, measuring, disseminating and presenting statistical data and variance reporting and analysis.


16. Coordinates Engineering Change Requests (ECN's) to ensure stock balancing activities occur properly to eliminate slow moving/obsolete inventory and results in timely cut in of such changes.


17. Participate in the reduction and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.


18. Manage the transition of EEP inventory to SSI Inventory through identification, submission, approval authorization, and SSI website initiation.

Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience

1. Key competencies include sound business judgment and decision making.
2. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
3. Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to ensure timely completion of job responsibilities.
4. Ability to work with all employees at all levels of management.
5. Self starter, someone who is proactive and who can lead by example.
6. Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and help drive change.
7. Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience preferred.
8. Knowledge and understanding of visual management inventory tools and 8 STEP Problem Solving Skills.
9. Willingness to work overtime if required.
10. Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications.

Preferred Experience

1. College degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.


2. Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and a working knowledge of Shop Floor Control and AS400 system and Oracle preferred.


3. Direct hands on experience in an MRP systems environment preferred.


4. Prior Materials Management experienced preferred.

Pay range for this opportunity is$19.72-$25.52.This position is eligible forbonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
