Temple University's Accounts Payable Center is searching for an AP Vendor Control Associate!

Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000

A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
The AP Vendor Control Associate is accountable for maintaining the integrity of the vendor master file data, performing vendor maintenance, providing payables customer service to vendors, business units, and customers, and resolving exceptions and issues on invoices to maintain approval routing and payment processing. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function in a challenging and dynamic environment. This position requires confidential information to be handled in a discreet and professional manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree
* At least one (1) year of recent Accounts Payable experience
* Systems integration experience including planning, evaluation, and implementation
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Experience with the set up and maintenance of the vendor master file
* Previous experience with Banner ERP
* Familiarity with Concur solutions software and PaymentWorks
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite

Required Skills and Abilities
* Ability to perform financial transactions based on assignment
* Experience with vendor maintenance activity
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and customers
* Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals
* Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and initiative with the ability to adhere to a month-end/year-end close timeline
* Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently as needed
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Be able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to multi-task and learn new skills
* Ability to work with a sense of urgency when dealing with time sensitive matters
* Ability to work nights and/or weekend, as necessary

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote). The duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
