Temple University's University Marketing Department is searching for a Marketing Manager!

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
The Marketing Manager, reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy & Strategic Initiatives, will play a key role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies supporting key units across the university. The Manager will collaborate with internal teams and campus partners to ensure the timely and effective execution of marketing campaigns and projects. This role requires a strong understanding of both marketing strategy and project management, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with and manage multiple stakeholders and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
* At least three (3) years of directly related experience in marketing.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated ability to develop complex marketing campaigns and initiatives.
* Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Superior organizational skills - must be able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively and collaboratively work as part of a cross-functional team.
* Familiarity with marketing tools and analytics platforms, and a general understanding of how to optimize marketing performance.
* Proficient in project management software (experience with Wrike is a plus).
* Enthusiastic self-starter with creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adjust priorities as needed.
* Ability to quickly adapt to different environments and open to new processes and technologies.
* Self-directed with a solutions-oriented attitude; values and inspires a positive work environment.
* Ability to work within a continuous improvement environment; able to receive feedback with a positive attitude and a commitment to personal accountability.
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Brings diplomacy and collegiality to capably address challenges. Willingness to tackle issues and collaboratively resolve them.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to utilize data and insights to make decisions.
* Ability to attend staff events as needed (including occasional nights and weekends).


Essential Functions
* Work with the director to develop and execute marketing strategies supporting key schools, colleges and academic units across campus. Support the planning, coordination and implementation of marketing campaigns and projects to ensure alignment with central business objectives.
* Partner with a project operations lead to oversee the execution of marketing projects across cross-functional teams and campus partners. Provide strategic guidance to support effective project operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within scope.
* Act as a liaison between the Strategic Marketing & Communications division and key partners across the university. Build and maintain positive working relationships to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals and ensure that marketing efforts reflect the university's brand.
* Collaborate with the insights and analytics team to ensure that all strategies are informed by marketing insights and research, continually assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and identify opportunities for optimization.
* Work closely with the Associate Director of Systems and Project Operations Management to identify areas for process improvement within the marketing function. Ensure that projects effectively leverage the division's project management system Wrike, adhere to defined processes, and leverage project management best practices best practices.
* Bring new ideas and innovative solutions to marketing campaigns, always rooted in business objectives, market research, and audience needs.
* Identify areas of opportunity to enhance the university's brand/reptation, increase pride and engagement, and drive revenue.


This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
