The Student Employment Coordinator will administer all human resources processes for student help and graduate assistant employment at the university. This includes full employment life cycle support, working with departments across the university to implement best practices, and serving as the point of contact for questions.

This position creates and maintains human resources (HR) records, coordinates logistics disseminates HR communications, and processes various HR specific transactions for the employment groups to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing

  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities

  • Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership

  • Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations

  • Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities

  • Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures

  • Administer all human resources processes for student help and graduate assistant employment at the university

Starting at $20.67 per hour and commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications:
*Past work experience in Human Resources or related field
*Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)
*Superior interpersonal and communication skills
*Strong customer service skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively with various groups and individuals
*Ability to maintain discretion and the highest ethical and professional standards while dealing with confidential information
*Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-oriented environment with quickly shifting priorities
*Strong initiative and ability to remain adaptable to different situations and changes

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field

Experience utilizing an HR software, preferably Workday

Previous work experience in a college or university setting

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
