About the Role:

The Process Technician on the 1st Shift plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of manufacturing processes within the durable goods sector. This position is responsible for monitoring, adjusting, and optimizing production equipment and workflows to maintain high-quality output and meet production targets. The technician will collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and uphold safety standards. By maintaining detailed process documentation and adhering to standard operating procedures, the Process Technician helps drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the overall productivity, quality, and safety of the manufacturing environment in Cullman, AL.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in durable goods manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems related to production equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, process instructions, and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in manufacturing technology, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience with process control systems and data collection software.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance.
  • Previous experience working in a 1st shift manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control manufacturing equipment to ensure consistent product quality and process efficiency.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Identify process deviations and troubleshoot equipment or process issues promptly to reduce production delays.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to implement process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of process parameters, production data, and maintenance activities in compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements during daily operations.
  • Assist in training new operators and technicians on process controls and best practices.
