Job Summary	Job Summary Develops and applies basic mechanical skills relative to the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe and related electrical systems in the Company facilities. Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities Performs routine developmental learning assignments and applies standard solutions to problems or work situations of a routine or repetitive nature. May perform a variety of routine duties related to any work operation in the maintenance or repair of Company machinery, equipment and facilities. Assists in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. Carries tools and equipment to and from storage and working areas. Holds scaffolding members in place or tightens bolts to erect working platforms around machines. Assists in dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Drills and breaks up concrete. Digs trenches using hand tools for machinery foundations. Mixes and pours concrete for foundations. Assists in assembling and installing pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Assists in the installation and repair of plumbing fixtures by replacing washers in leaky faucets, opening clogged drains and other like jobs. Cleans machines with sandpaper, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare surfaces for painting. Oils and greases machines. Cleans work area, tools, and equipment. Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
Minimum Qualifications	Education Requirements Min/Preferred Education Level. Description If applicable, a combination of experience and training may be substituted for the education requirement. . Experience Requirements 0 year(s) Skills and Competencies Must be able to read, write and interpret safety documents and machine operating instructions and maintenance manuals. Uses standard mechanics hand tools. Valid Driver License in the state where the work in performed. Respirator training, certification and fit test. Must be clean shaven at the respirator seal. Pulmonary function test is required.
Skills and Work Requirements
Physical Requirements	Physical Requirements Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. Additionally, those who work at NORDAM Repair Division must be able to ascend and descend stairs. Work Environment	Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary from loud to a more moderate level.
Supervision	Supervision Work is closely reviewed. Follows detailed or standard written or oral instructions. Work is closely monitored with little room for judgment.
