As a Virtual Design & Construction Co-op, you'll gain hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other cutting-edge construction technologies. You will assist in developing 2D and 3D computer-aided drawings for cost estimating, field productivity, construction documentation, facility management, and more. We foster a supportive and collaborative environment with the goal of exposing you to a variety of hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Learn the technical aspects of commercial construction, including print reading, trade sequencing, and building coordination.
  • Utilize Revit and other 3D design software to convert 2D CAD drawings into 3D models.
  • Develop visualizations in Navisworks and assist with model-based quantity takeoffs for Preconstruction Project Managers.
  • Operate BIM software to support project-specific needs.
  • Contribute to marketing materials, including animations, still imagery, trade show videos, virtual mock-ups, and interview materials.
  • Support the VDC team with hands-on modeling and administrative tasks as needed.


Events and Networking:



  • Job Site Visits - see projects from other sectors: Education, Science & Technology, Multi-family, Corporate, or Healthcare.
  • Offsite Events - Findorff helps organize multiple events for Co-ops/Interns so you can network with other students on different projects.


Qualifications & Education:



  • Open to College students pursuing a degree in Architectural Engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and on a team.
  • Must have some technical knowledge of BIM related software.
  • Construction and/or MEP experience is a plus.
