The Material Handling Technician performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment, and supporting logistics areas. This may include receiving and verifying incoming materials and supplies, preparing bills of lading and shipping manifests, routing shipments appropriately, moving material within the warehouse, distribution and production facilities, filling customers' orders and preparing orders appropriately.

The opportunity:

• Pack, ship, receive, and maintain inventory of product/raw material, and fulfill customer orders. Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory

• Perform administrative tasks related to products/materials, such as coordinating shipments, ts, preparing, reviewing, filling, and maintaining customer orders, preparing shipping and receiving documents, and utilizing database to enter and maintain information related to products/materials.

• Identify issues involving logistics, customer orders, shipping, and/or receiving areas

• May operate machinery, including a forklift

• The Material Handler is also responsible for maintaining and continuouslyimproving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions

Who you are:

• High School Diploma or equivalency

• Basic computer skills with competency using standard software Packages (Word, Excel)

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Be able to perform basic math calculations

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

• Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures

Strongly preferred:

• Roche Supply Chain operations experience

• Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good

• Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001

• Experience in SAP

This position is based in Indianapolis, IN. Qualified candidates must currently reside within a 50-mile radius of Indianapolis.

The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Indianapolis, is 28,700.00 - 53,300.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
