YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Production Trainer opportunity in our Guymon processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be responsible for training and developing the skills, abilities, and knowledge of the hourly production workforce within a specific area of operations. Ensures the processing plant is equipped with a workforce that optimizes the goals and objectives of operations while delivering quality products and services which meet our standards and customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Directly trains and coordinates the activities of production employees in the assigned area following all product specifications and company policies
  • Follows up and reinforces information provided to new employees in orientation
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of position requirements of assigned line/department and competently demonstrates the skills of each position on the line
  • Adheres to all workplace and food safety policies and procedures outlined by the company and required by federal, state, and local laws
  • Develops a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods in the work area
  • Evaluates trainee progress and maintain records of trainee's progress and achievements
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of management within the organization
  • In the absence of a supervisor, supervises and coordinates the activities of production employees under the direction of a general supervisor
  • Communicates effectively with all employees and provides direction, instructions, and feedback based on the experience level of the employee
  • Follows up and provides appropriate feedback and recognition based on level of performance

QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma required, and some college preferred with course work in human resources, business administration/management, education, or another related field
  • Work experience in a manufacturing, food service, retail, or related industry a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • English required, bilingual a plus
  • Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) a plus
  • An essential function of this position is to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds


WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a processing plant production floor setting and minimal time in an office setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, and exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, and gases at low concentrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud when in the production area and requires hearing protection.
