The position will report to the VP and Global Controller. As a Corporate Consolidation Manager, you will be responsible for NCH corporate general ledger, corporate financial reporting, global consolidations and NCH consolidated financial reporting. Responsibilities:



  • Manage the Corporate Oracle general ledger, including the monthly close, monthly journal entries, financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations with department managers. Research monthly Corporate operating variances, prepare Corporate monthly SGA report packages and coordinate monthly SGA flash review with executive management.
  • Consolidate domestic with the international consolidations to render the total consolidated NCH. Close global, North America and international region set of books. Review consolidated results for unusual variances and forward inquires to international regions.
  • Ensure proper elimination of various intercompany balances and ensure other consolidated accounting requirements are met. Prepare consolidating and consolidated financial reports for NCH and North America for the executive management and external parties. Prepare schedules, reports and analysis to assist with the quarterly Bank Compliance.
  • Assist in the annual audit done by external auditors. Prepare required and various ad hoc audit schedules requested by external auditors. Prepare and or review annual, quarterly and or monthly government reports.
  • Provide ad hoc support for Oracle GL standard processes, chart of accounts and ADI. Assist in referring GL issues to IT or to the Manager of Reporting and Processes. Research Oracle system consolidation issues. Close global, North American and international region set of books monthly. Research various issues to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Assist with and respond to various ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from executive management, business unit controllers, departmental managers and other domestic / international accounting employees. Develop rapport with aforementioned NCH employees and other NCH employees to enable open communication and working relationships
  • Perform other related duties as required.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or CMA preferred, may substitute additional experience at a senior Accounting level.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a multi-entity environment including heavy general ledger, consolidation and financial reporting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (top tier ERP system, preferably Oracle).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word skills required. Access skills preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and close attention to detail required.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have strong ability to enjoy and thrive in a team that is production oriented, deadline-focused and has a positive customer service environment.
  • Must be independent, possess critical thinking skills, and have a strong work ethic.
