Position Description

ENSCO Inc is a diverse engineering and technology company that provides engineering, science and advanced technology solutions that guarantee mission success, safety, and security to governments and private industries worldwide.

We are seeking an experienced Tactical SATCOM Systems Integration Engineer to provide subject matter expertise to support a major defense program, focusing on the acquisition and execution of Space Force systems. The Space Systems Command (SSC) team acquires services to modernize and sustain the space capabilities. The position is available on site in Los Angeles, CA. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide senior technical leadership across satellite programs, ground systems, and space missions (LEO, GEO, and interplanetary).
- Oversee mission assurance, system safety, hardware quality, reliability, and risk management practices.
- Lead anomaly resolution, root cause/corrective action (RCCA), and serve on technical risk review boards.
- Engage in the full satellite system lifecycle --from concept development to launch, flight operations, and deorbit planning.
- Coordinate with customers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Provide technical authority on subsystems including RF payloads, IR/visible imaging, structural dynamics, propulsion, and control systems.
- Develop and review systems engineering processes including requirements decomposition, interface definition, trade studies, and verification plans.
- Guide design-for-manufacturability and rapid deployment strategies, especially for LEO constellations.
- Represent company interests in government and industry working groups and studies.

Qualifications Required:
- 10+ years of experience in systems engineering related to DoD & major space systems/programs with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution.
- Previous experience with the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) office
- Lead system/enterprise level engineering analysis to identify experiment problem areas; provide impact analysis, forecast potential failures, and present options with potential to mitigate these problems
- Support formulation of relevant information of experimentation objectives and perform engineering analysis and system-level assessments for decision support at various meetings and sustainment forums
- Perform studies and analyses of military air, surface, maritime, space and cyberspace missions to assess integration, system-of-systems factors, system vulnerability and survivability, system commonality, new technologies, enhancements, commercialization, cost effectiveness, and mission assurance
- Expert in architecture and technical requirements development
- Expert in space system design, development, integration, test, and operations
- Demonstrated ability to organize and conduct system level technical design reviews and audits
- AN ACTIVE DOD TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE with SCI ELIGIBILITY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.

Qualifications Desired:
- Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution.
- Professional engineering certification equivalent to Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level 3 Systems Engineering Certification, or, or demonstration of continued education.
- Experience with launch and in-orbit commissioning of complex spacecraft.Prior technical leadership on flagship missions (e.g., James Webb Space Telescope, X-37B).Expertise in RF, optical, cryogenic, and imaging payloads.U.S. Patent holder and published author in aerospace and physical sciences fields.
- Prior experience as an A&AS or SE&I contractor
- Past or present experience with SSC
