Inventory Coordinator - Entry Level Operations / Inventory Management Team This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), on-site contract role located in New York, NY. Summary We're seeking a Temporary Inventory Coordinator to help maintain inventory accuracy and compliance for our merchandise operations. This role supports cross-functional teams and external warehouse partners by ensuring timely receiving, labeling, and system reconciliation. Your contributions will help ensure smooth operations and accurate product fulfillment. Our Ideal Candidate 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or logistics (merchandise or retail preferred) Passion for operational excellence with a strong foundation in warehouse receiving, inventory control, and stock reconciliation Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills Familiar with SKU tracking, inventory audit practices, and SOX compliance standards Skilled in collaborating with third-party logistics providers and internal cross-functional teams Able to work independently and manage inventory-related tasks under tight timelines Flexible and adaptable to shifting operational priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues when needed Job Description In this role, you will help monitor, track, and reconcile inventory data to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment. You'll partner with warehouse vendors, internal teams, and operations management to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensure proper labeling and compliance, and maintain inventory accuracy. This includes conducting audits, reconciling warehouse and system reports, verifying SKU barcoding, and supporting periodic cycle counts. You will also assist in maintaining operational standards and reporting for inventory performance, supporting the department's success and fulfillment readiness. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience Background in inventory control, logistics, retail operations, or supply chain Additional Requirements Please include your resume with your application This opportunity is located in New York, NY and requires on-site work from 9:30am-6:00pm The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $25.00 - $26.89 per hour This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
