Role Summary: The Associate Director, Brand Positioning & Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive media relations strategies, driving thought leadership programs, managing industry award submissions, and overseeing corporate communications efforts. This role requires a proactive and strategic communicator with media experience, strong storytelling abilities, and expertise in elevating brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Media Relations: Develop and execute media outreach strategies to enhance brand visibility. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists, industry analysts, and media outlets.
  • Thought Leadership: Develop and implement thought leadership initiatives, including bylined articles, speaking engagements, whitepapers, and executive visibility programs.
  • Industry Awards & Recognition: Identify, evaluate, and manage submissions for relevant industry awards to showcase company achievements and innovations.
  • Corporate Communications: Develop and implement internal and external corporate communications strategies that align with business objectives and enhance brand reputation.
  • Employee Communications: Work closely with HR and leadership to craft internal messaging, company announcements, and engagement initiatives.
  • Messaging & Content Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft compelling messaging, press releases, blog posts, and op-eds that align with business objectives.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track media coverage, analyze PR performance, and provide insights to optimize future strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, media relations, or public relations, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong relationships with media contacts and a proven track record of securing press coverage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Experience in thought leadership positioning, executive communications, and industry recognition programs.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence senior executives.
  • Knowledge of media monitoring and PR analytics tools.

Compensation range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
Bonus Eligible:
This position is also eligible for a discretionary company bonus, based upon business results.
