Nurse Practitioner Georgetown, DE Pay From: $65 per hour MUST: The Nurse Practitioner must have experience: Must possess and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state in which services are performed May be required to possess and maintain a current DEA license, depending on regional requirements May be required to possess a current ACLS and/or BLS certification, depending on regional requirements Masters Degree in Nursing or a related field of study Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service Must have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public. Must be able to work individually as well as within a team Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical specialty, as well as medical terminology Must have a compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease DUTIES: Utilizes a multimodal approach to include but not limited to medication and interventional management, physical therapy and bracing where appropriate Explains procedures or prescribed treatments to patients along with treatment goals Interprets medical tests in the context of patient care and explains results to patients Completes all administrative tasks in a timely manner Monitors patient's compliance to treatment plan (i.e.: obtaining urine drug screens, where applicable) Adheres to company policies, ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws Records complete, timely and legible medical records Liaises with other medical professionals related to patient care Keeps up to date with medical developments Promotes the company's core values Coordinates with medical assistants, nurses and other medical staff One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) One (1) year of experience performing in-office procedures Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies Checks work e-mail on a regular basis throughout the workday Participates in and complete all required trainings and in-services Performs other duties as assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
