Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking an Senior Physical Security Specialist to support a customer located in the Chantilly, VA area. The Senior Physical Security Specialist will work within the Office of the Secretary of Defense and across the DoD to assist, advise and lead a large construction project to upgrade a facility to ICD 705 compliance. The candidate will be focused on leading a multi-year construction/renovation project.



Responsibilities

    Successful candidates should be proficient in Intelligence Community Directive 705, 705--1, 705-2, IC Tech Spec and DoDM 5105.21, Volume 1
  • Individuals will be responsible for writing, editing and implementing a construction plan in support of upgrading current non-ICD705 compliant facility into compliance
  • Assist in planning and managing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of sensitive compartmented information facilities (SCIF) accreditation and oversight operations
  • Identify new and alternative locations for personnel relocation during renovation and work with facilities management organization
  • Responsible for providing all the support documentation and physical facility requirements for facility accreditations, re-accreditation and de-accreditation of a multi-mission partner facility across both DoD and IC partners.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining internal policy documents, Standard Operating Procedures and instructional handouts pertaining to Physical and Industrial Security
  • Coordinate with the security system integrators to oversee installation and upgrades to existing access control, intrusion detection, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.
  • Serve as the primary interface to accrediting authorities for all facility and security system upgrades necessary to maintain the integrity of the Government's SCIF accreditation.


Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI-Eligible - Currently hold an active TS/SCI or have held an SCI and have been debriefed in the last 24 months; #qinetiqclearedjob
  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of physical security experience with 5+ years in construction management
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint, excel and/or other equivalent program management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be independently motivated.
