Electrical Engineer - SMT

Duties may include:

* Support the PCBA group by resolving problems that arise in the SMT process including solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, SPI, x-ray inspection, AOI, Automated Storage, depanel, PCBA Wash, Ionic Tester and selective solder.

* Job duties may also include machine operation, setup, training, and helping operators on machine operation and setup, and ensuring proper program performance and efficiency.

* Assist in creating work Instructions as well as provide redlines and/or updates.

* Assist in any new tool design required to support the PCBA group by developing tooling concepts.

* Assist on the qualification of new SMT equipment and on the validation of new PCBAs.

* Evaluate, troubleshoot, and disposition product that has failed.

Experience Level with Business Tools

• Experience using software to generate machine code to run SMT pick and place tools.

• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Education and Experience

• Electrical or related Engineering degree with 3 years of experience or a minimum 7 years of experience manufacturing PCBAs, SMT processes, SMT programming, in contract manufacturing or similar industry.

• Experience with Juki SMT equipment and Koh Young inspection tools is a plus

• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Highly motivated and self-driven

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

• Light work that willfrequently require employee to lift/move up to 20 lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently.
• Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally.
• Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools frequently.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking.
