Position Overview The Sr. Corporate Creative Writer will craft compelling and impactful speeches, thought leadership and corporate stories for our executives, supporting both internal and external communications. This position will convey our company's vision, mission, and values through powerful storytelling. This position is onsite and based in Madison, WI. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Thought Leadership Development: Develop thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and other written content to establish the company's executives and brand as industry leaders, while aligning with business goals and showcasing innovations in cancer diagnostics and precision oncology.
- Speechwriting:Develop, write, and edit speeches for executives for various occasions, including internal meetings, conferences, public events, and media appearances.
- Research:Conduct thorough research on relevant topics, gathering data, anecdotes, and quotes to enhance the thought leadership and speech content.
- Collaboration:Work closely with executives and other stakeholders to understand their messaging needs and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Editing and Proofreading:Review and revise speeches to ensure clarity, coherence, and impact, while maintaining the executive's voice and style.
- Presentation Support:Prepare presentation materials, including slides and other visual aids, to complement the speech.
- Feedback Incorporation:Incorporate feedback from executives and other stakeholders to refine and improve speech content.
- Trend Monitoring:Stay up-to-date on industry trends and current events to ensure speeches are relevant and timely.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
- Ability to work designated schedule.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends
- Ability and means to travel 15-20% between local Exact Sciences (Madison) locations.
- Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location. May include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or other field relevant to the essential duties.
- 5+ years of experience in public speech writing.
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to conduct strong research and analysis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software.
- Computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Salary Range: $89,000.00 - $151,000.00
The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to be considered for company stock at hire and on an annual basis.
