We're seeking a Resident Engineering Manager to lead our team in designing cutting-edge network solutions for our valued customers. In this role, you'll define resource plans, provide crucial presales support, and shape our design and automation tool strategy. You'll be responsible for the successful execution of end-to-end engineering processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, while adhering to customer SLAs and approved financial conditions. Furthermore, you'll play a key role in fostering the growth and development of our talented engineering teams.   • Team Management: Manage a team of Nokia employees and third-party contractors, including recruitment and training.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interface with internal stakeholders (Program Management, NPI, etc.) and external customers (carriers, mobile operators, etc.).
  • Project Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of project requirements, communicating performance issues and coordinating mitigation efforts.
  • Business Strategy Alignment: Make unit-level decisions aligned with business strategy, driving efficient execution of design and NPI activities for presales and deployment projects.
  • Accountability for Deliverables: Accountable for Customer Engineering deliverables, balancing technical expertise with customer relations to achieve business objectives.


You have



  • Minimum of 5-8 years of Line Management, Field or Design Engineering, Systems Test, Resident Engineering, Network Integration experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced Nokia IP certifications recommended
  • Understanding of IP protocol skills (OSPF, MPLS, LDP, BGP, SR, ISIS)
  • IP services skills recommended (L2 VPN such as Epipe /VPLS, L3 VPN)
  • Experience with the Nokia 7750 SR, 7250 IXR, and 7210 product line and services architecture
  • Experience in configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of IP networks
  • Knowledge of NMS products an asset
  • This position requires some travel periods with short term advanced notice at times. Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required (20%)
