YOUR IMPACT Structured Investing is a global multi-disciplinary front office structuring team within Asset and Wealth Management ("AWM") specializing in optimizing the Firm's investing and lending activities as well as its funding and legal entity structure and strategy. The team focuses on originating, structuring and executing transactions that affect the Firm's global tax, regulatory and accounting positions as well as AWM's funding profile. We work on transactions with deal teams across AWM and the rest of the Firm, as well as originate and execute our own transactions. This is a creative, analytical and execution-focused team, comprised of people with diverse structuring backgrounds who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments. RESPONSIBILITIES You will work as part of deal teams on approvals, execution, and ongoing maintenance of transactions and initiatives that have an impact on the Firm's tax, regulatory and accounting positions. Specific responsibilities include:
- Model the financial statement impact and economic benefits of the proposed transactions
- Create presentation materials to brief internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal functions to progress proposed transactions through the required governance and approvals processes
- Liaise with external advisers and internal teams on the preparation, review, and execution of transaction documents
- Work on the ongoing maintenance and risk management of transactions post-execution, including maintenance of the deal models and coordination with the Firm's Finance and Accounting teams to monitor and report ongoing economic impact of transactions
- Assist with structured secured funding initiatives, including external rating of AWM investments
- Prepare periodic budgets and profit and loss reports for the team
REQUIREMENTS
- Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with a high attention to detail
- 2-3 years of financial services/accounting/tax experience that includes transaction execution
- Familiarity with and interest in the tax, accounting, and regulatory capital aspects of transactions
- Robust understanding of the components and applications of financial instruments
- Strong problem solving, quantitative, and excel modelling skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimum direct supervision
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrable ability to articulate complex concepts to a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong team player
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end. Benefits
