Lead Application Developer, API & E-Commerce with American Multi-Cinema, Inc. (Leawood, KS): Duties: Responsible for technical design, development, and developer testing of AMC's API (Application Programing Interface) services designed to support and enhance the e-commerce and the digital experience across AMC and partner digital properties. Responsible for maintenance and development support of existing API services. Responsible for the development of features and enhancements to AMC's API services and endpoints that align with established architecture/standards/process withing each chosen toolset. This includes collaboration and compliance, architecture, security, front-end development (internal and external) and operations teams. Participate in the continual improvement of technical solutions, standards and processes associated with API development. This work may establish new guidelines and prototypes for others to follow. Participate in code reviews, assistant in development tasks of others when needed, and own the work of others to ensure the success of the group. Responsible for API development tasks including interpretation of requirements, technical coding, and debugging. Position is 100% remote reporting to American Multi-Cinema headquarters in Leawood, KS. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Requires seven years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Event Grid; Distributed Systems, Microservices, Hypermedia, Service & API Design, API Lifecycle, API Governance; C#, GitHub Actions, Kustomize, Argo CD, REST, HAL, Domain-Driven Design, and GoF Design Patterns; Kanban, Test-Driven-Development, Visual Studio, GitHub, Octopus, Git, Microsoft SQL Server, TSQL, Elastic Search, Redis; Lead development experience; and Experience mentoring on the following: Load testing public facing APIs, large-scale public facing API ecommerce platform, large scale integrations with retail point of sale systems (ticketing system experience preferred), and migrating legacy API platforms to cloud native architecture. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, a specific skill set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
