Job Title: Alignment Technician - Heavy-Duty Trucks

We are seeking a skilled Alignment Technician to join our team at our Grand Forks, North Dakota location. The ideal candidate can also perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks. Having an expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction is ideal.

The Alignment Technician will perform expert alignments and suspension work on heavy-duty diesel trucks, along with general repair and maintenance tasks. This role requires a strong technical background in heavy-duty diesel truck systems and a commitment to precision and safety.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct precise wheel alignments on heavy-duty diesel trucks using advanced alignment equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair suspension systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify alignment, suspension, and mechanical issues, providing accurate repair recommendations.
  • Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with service advisors and customers.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, new technologies, and manufacturer-specific alignment procedures.


Qualifications



  • Proven experience in heavy-duty diesel truck alignments and suspension systems (required).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of heavy-duty diesel truck repair, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with alignment equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license: Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not required but highly preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, manufacturer-specific training) are a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions as required.


Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive or heavy-duty diesel truck alignments and repairs.
