How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Provides oversight, vision, and direction to the Supply Chain Qualification functions, including the management of related supplier and contractor qualification activities, audit activities, and all of the Procurement aspects of Air Liquide's supplier risk & qualification program with responsibility for the on-going execution of these activities specifically within the NAM Cluster and support & deployment of best practices for these activities across the Americas Hub.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide overall leadership, vision, and direction for the NAM Cluster Supply Chain Qualification Team, which includes supplier application processing, supplier and contractor qualification, audit activities and compliance to the Supplier Risk Procurement program.

  • Serve as the Americas subject matter expert regarding all IMS, QMS and Blue Book requirements.

  • Responsible for NAM Cluster adherence to Air Liquide's Quality Management System (QMS) and Blue Book requirements

  • Works with and supports all Clusters within the Americas HUB to develop roadmaps, best practices, etc to implement Group and entity transformation initiatives impacting Supplier Risk Management

  • Represents the Americas in Group core team discussions, arbitration, and development of policy & Bluebook updates, Group wide transformation initiatives, and global projects related to Supplier Risk Management

  • Serves as a liaison between Group Procurement, HUB Procurement teams and the Americas Procurement community on points of policy, process, tools and methodologies related to supplier risk management

  • Leads and organizes collaboration with Group, other HUBs/WBLs and Clusters on transformational projects and other initiatives as needed

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in Americas HUB's requirements for the implementation and on-going use of Supplier Risk & Onboarding modules within Group's Digital Procurement Solution (DPS) platform and other technology solutions

  • Strategically develop, maintain, and manage the annual NAM Cluster qualification plan.

  • Proactively develop and implement continuous improvements of the supplier application and qualification processes based on best practices and strategic vision of the processes in the overall vendor management approach

  • Develop, implement and manage technologies for the streamlining and execution of continuous improvements

  • Develop and manage short and long range plans to enhance the effectiveness of Supply Chain Qualification that aligns with the organization's strategic plan.

  • Schedule and direct audit activities

  • Develop clearly defined objectives and measurement of team's activity and progress

  • Maintain and manage the NAM Cluster's current Approved Supplier List and Pre-Screened Contractor List

  • Build strong working relationships and develop strong lines of communication with Group, supported entities, Clusters, key customer groups, other teams within SCM, other relevant departments and all key stakeholders in the qualification and audit process

  • Work with suppliers, contractors and the entities to drive the qualification process

  • Work cooperatively with Group and other Air Liquide entities & Clusters to share best practices related to Supply Chain Qualification

  • Collaborate with HSE, Group, Legal, Operations and Quality & other departments on supplier qualification best practices

  • Meet with key customers as needed to provide qualification updates

  • Responsible for proactively communicating the supplier and contractor qualification and Procurement aspects of the Supplier Risk program to all levels of management and zone colleagues.

  • Represents and lead activities related to NAM Cluster ISO, customer, or internal audits of Supplier Risk & Qualification Management

  • Proactively communicate Supply Chain Qualification vision, team activities, supplier/contractor qualification issues, and process updates to SCM management

  • Manages the suppliers administering key 3rd Party Contractor Qualification programs on behalf of Air Liquide

  • Prepare presentation documents and assist in presenting to all levels of management.

  • Optimize department operations and performance of individuals.

  • Ensure appropriate skills development to enable professional growth.

  • Demonstrates solid written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates team building and leadership skills.

  • Train, manage, coach and counsel team, as needed.

  • Is achievement oriented, decisive, team and customer oriented, visionary, strong communicator and innovative.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management or any business related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive managerial experience in Supply Chain Management, Quality, or Operations; strong knowledge of quality systems and quality management systems auditing; intermediate computer skills, including Google Suites, Microsoft Office and Excel; general knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge of Air Liquide's Quality Management System/Industrial Management System and Blue Book Procurement requirements; ability to use quality system tools (Zycus Source to Contract suite, Intelex).
