Position Overview Waste Connections is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative Fleet Warranty Manager to join our corporate team. In this position, you will be working closely with our Director of Fleet Sourcing and Strategic Planning. This role plays a critical part in managing and optimizing our warranty recovery processes across our entire fleet. You'll work closely with regional and field teams, manufacturers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely warranty claims, cost recovery, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the warranty claims from initiation to resolution
- Central point of contact for field and regional teams regarding warranty issues, claims, and guidance
- Collaborate with OEMs, dealers, and vendors to maximize warranty recovery and resolve claim disputes
- Track, analyze, and report on warranty performance and recovery trends across the company
- Train and support field teams on warranty procedures, documentation requirements, and systems usage
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendor contacts to ensure consistency and accountability
- Identify areas for improvement in warranty processes and implement best practices
- Ensure claims are filed accurately and on time, minimizing missed opportunities and maximizing returns
- Forge strong partnerships with OEMs and parts vendors, as well as customer service teams, to effectively resolve warranty-related issues across the Fleet.
Required Competencies
- Experience in warranty management, claims processing, or related is preferred
- Exceptional Communication Skills - Able to clearly communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders and navigate conversations with both field staff and OEM/vendor partners
- Detail-Oriented and Process-Driven - Skilled in documentation, tracking, and following complex claim and warranty workflows
- Strong Analytical Thinking - Capable of identifying trends, spotting inconsistencies, and using data to drive action and process improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Confident in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related tools for reporting and collaboration
- Self-Starter with Strong Initiative - Able to manage work independently while staying aligned with company priorities and timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative Team Player - Comfortable working cross-functionally and coordinating with multiple departments and external partners
- Customer Service Oriented - Responsive and solution-focused, with a strong service mindset toward both internal and external partners
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with Fleet Asset Managers, District Maintenance teams, OEM representatives, equipment vendors, and our corporate finance and operations teams. While a background in fleet operations or fleet maintenance is preferred, it is not a requirement.
