OverviewThe Multimodal Intelligence team, part of Microsoft's Core Artificial Intelligence (AI) organization, empowers developers and applied scientists across the globe to easily integrate AI capabilities-such as processing documents, videos, images, and other file types-into their applications. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Machine Learning, deep expertise in Python programming and system design, and hands-on experience building large-scale, high-volume cloud services. Proven success in solving complex challenges in Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Artificial Intelligence is essential. ResponsibilitiesDevelop industry-leading products and agents powered by large language models for multimodal content understanding. Collaborate with Product Managers to define product requirements, scope, and priorities. Partner with researchers to translate cutting-edge research into scalable, real-world solutions.
