Assistant Manager, Third Party Logistics

The role:

Do you want to work in warehousing, but not in a warehouse?

In our position, you will lead the relationship with assigned 3rd Party warehouses, primarily working from home. You will drive accountability for cost and service across multiple third party warehouses.

Reporting to our Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for cost management, budgeting, exception management with root cause analysis and resolution, inventory control activities, continuous improvement projects, and meetings with all partners.

We offer a hybrid work schedule (in the office 1-2 times per month).

What you will do:



  • Manage the assigned 3rd party warehouse provider to maximize our customer service deliverables by maintaining a responsive and fluid warehousing organization.
  • Manages and maximizes cost efficiency.
  • Manages all warehouse exceptions including but not limited to the following: damages, short shipments, late receipts, order carry over, etc.
  • Builds and manages internal and external relationships.
  • Coordinates the inspection, rework and disposal of all rejected inventories.
  • Participates and at times leads projects applicable to their assigned warehouse.


What you will need:



  • Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years of experience managing 3rd party logistics
  • 2+ years 3PL management with strong SAP skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-level understanding of Excel.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management experience
  • Willingness to travel to 3rd Party warehouses
