HIM Supervisor

Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has a HIM COORDINATOR (8:00AM-4:30PM) opportunity. Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents. We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. We provide a caring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities and applied behavior analysis services. EOE.

RHIT certification preferred; experience in a psychiatric setting preferred; familiarity with psychiatric terminology and treatment modalities; time management and organization skills; analytical evaluation, interpretive, and problem-solving skills; skills in working effectively with interdisciplinary clinical team and with members of management; flexibility in job duties; ability to maintain information as highly confidential; knowledge of and skills interpreting and applying laws, standards and regulations affecting health information systems, specifically in mental health service areas.

In the absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame via the organization's orientation and training program. EOE.
