General Maintenance Tradesperson
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team in a dynamic facility maintenance role. In this position, you will perform a variety of tasks including general facility support functions, routine inspections, and maintenance of HVAC and plumbing systems, such as filter changes, lubrication, belt adjustments, cleaning of cooling systems, water treatment, and related tasks. Successful candidates must be able to interpret work orders, operate various tools and machines, move equipment, and communicate effectively between multiple sites and the home office. A valid driver's license and strict adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and vehicle guidelines are required.
The General Maintenance Tradesperson will perform all commercial building site maintenance tasks as required as well as annual site inspections at all customer facilities. Ensure strong communication both within the department and with customers.

- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Comply with company policy and standards.
- General facility maintenance, general housekeeping duties and performing all routine maintenance and inspections on all existing systems including:
- Filter Changing
- Oiling and Greasing
- Belt adjusting or replacement
- Cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporators and condensers
- Water treatment
- Systems operations under contract with certain customers.
- Pick-up and delivery of parts or equipment.
- Indoor air quality (IAQ) related tasks.
- Installation and replacement of all residential single unitary heating, air conditioning and plumbing systems.
- Drain and sewer cleaning.
- Interpret work orders, perform work requested with limited direction.
- Moving furniture and equipment as assigned.
- Operate a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
- Requisition of new supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate subcontractors as needed for facility maintenance requests and ensure all requirements are met.
- Ensure effective flow of information between off-site areas and home office.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to drive to various customer locations daily.
- Adhere to all safety and vehicle related polices.
- Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Technical school facility maintenance certification or a minimum of one (1) year hands-on maintenance experience.
- Experience working with maintenance equipment and techniques, drawings/specifications, and required standards applicable to discipline.
- Working knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals.
- Interface and communicate effectively with customers and others. Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to assume responsibility for maintenance work and adhere to department procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Valid Driver's license, and ability to travel to customer locations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- State of Minnesota Special Boiler License, or ability to obtain within 45 days.
Pay Range:
- Wages and other benefits are paid in accordance the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- $20.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
