Job Description:

The opportunity: As a Senior Underwriter on the Quality Assurance team you will be responsible for assessing and applying Quality Audit program requirements to ensure effectiveness of Dental Underwriting processes, policy and procedures with a focus on adherence to internal controls and Dental underwriting guidelines.

How you will contribute:

  • Conduct audits and analyze results to ensure adherence to guidelines, policies and procedures

  • Provide individualized feedback directly to underwriters and underwriting leaders

  • Design and deliver targeted training to develop underwriting skills and reinforce best practices

  • Review appeals and helps resolve any issues in a fair, compliant manner

  • Assist with program reporting advising leadership on quality assurance trends, strategy and individual and/or team development opportunities

  • Champion innovative solutions to enhance quality assurance program/process and drive continuous underwriter development

What you will bring with you:

  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent years of experience Underwriting

  • 5+ years Dental underwriting experience

  • Passion for developing others to achieve excellence in underwriting through constructive feedback and coaching

  • Strong analytical, communication and relationship building skills; able to juggle competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail

  • Earn trust, influence and lead positive change by building strong working relationships across a diverse team

  • Strong professional presence; able to effectively present to a wide range of audiences

  • Expert in Dental insurance underwriting methodologies

  • Experience with QPS, Experience Rating Tools and JIRA

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products

Salary:

$77,400 - $116,100

Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to your base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on your individual performance as well as the overall performance of the business.
