As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a renowned cultural institution, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for visitors, staff, and valuable exhibits. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will also be expected to provide outstanding customer service, assisting guests and staff with inquiries and offering a welcoming presence. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or requests.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain an orderly environment.
• Support the enforcement of location policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized behavior and promote a positive experience for all visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
