The Impact You'll Make

As an Accountant at Lam, you're central to managing and enhancing our accounting systems. With a keen eye for detail, you interpret financial reporting requirements, balance the books, and ensure accuracy of profit and loss, cash flow, income, and balance sheet statements. Your expertise extends to monthly report generation, supporting informed decision making. You contribute to Lam's financial accuracy and compliance. This role reports to the Senior Director of Accounting.

What You'll Do
  • Prepares and files the quarterly and annual financial statements and the quarterly earnings release with the SEC, including the preparation of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Stockholders' Equity, Statement of Cash Flows, and selected disclosures.
  • Coordinates data gathering, and reviews support and footnote disclosures provided by counterparts in the finance organization for clerical accuracy and reasonableness.
  • Coordinates review of the prepared SEC filings via Workiva's Wdesk platform.
  • Reviews iXBRL tagging performed by 3rd party service provider.
  • Maintains support file for all public filings that contain financial information.
  • Coordinates the quarterly certification process (SOX 404 key control).
  • Prepares presentations in PowerPoint containing financial information provided to the Board Audit Committee, and the public (e.g. via posting to the Company's investor relations website).
  • Prepares selected disclosures for the Annual Proxy Statement, and reviews the financial information contained within the Annual Proxy Statement for accuracy.
  • May prepare the Company's 11-K for the Company's 401(k) Savings Plan, and coordinate review of said document with internal and external parties (auditors and legal counsel).
  • Assists with current report filings (8-K's) on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assists with quarterly and annual U.S. Government survey filings.
  • Reviews statutory filings of our wholly owned international subsidiaries.
  • Prepares annual accounting memos for reportable segments and goodwill impairment.
  • Conducts benchmarking activities and research projects on an ad hoc basis.
Who We're Looking For

Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics preferred. Master's degree and/or CPA (or equivalent certification) is a plus.
  • Master's Degree and/or CPA or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in public company ("SEC") external reporting, and at least 2 years in public accounting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Workiva/Wdesk a plus.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
