Performs various duties related to processes and controls, vendor management, and invoices and payments. Supports both Liability Claims and Workers Compensation. Essential functions include:

  • Oversees and performs administrative functions related to the claim's payment and voiding process.
  • Oversees process relating to receipt and payment of invoices.
  • Supports the Claims department with process and control identification, development, and testing. (CSM and SOX obligations)
  • Enters collection of company damages from third parties and their insurers.
  • Meets daily claims goals by reviewing, analyzing, and obtaining appropriate documentation based on requirements and procedures.
  • Monitors the claims' software system for mail errors and assigns to correct claim handler as needed.
  • Assists in other Public Liability and Property Damage and Workers Compensation claim handling functions as requested
  • Oversees process related to vendor management, including key performance indicators, stewardship meetings, business review meetings, sourcing and contract initiation and renewals.
  • Coordinates information security requirements related to vendors.
  • Ensure claim metrics align with program goals and KPIs with a focus on program outcomes and performance of internal claims organization and external vendors, including early claim resolution
  • Manage vendor performance including compliance with standards, contracts and program metrics and outcomes
  • Participate, as necessary, with internal audit and IT compliance
  • Opens, matches, and distributes incoming mail, faxes, and emails to claim files and distributes to claims handling staff.
  • Handles telephone inquiries and directs to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists with and performs audits of workers' compensation third party administrator's performance
  • Maintains Canadian provincial workers' compensation standing through compliance with provincial requirements. Involvement in Canadian workers' compensation claims handling, where necessary
  • Updates state workers' compensation regulatory postings and medical provider panels
  • Maintains self-insured bonds, parental guarantees, and excess insurance
  • Maintains workers' compensation and liability claims SharePoint sites

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED. Zero (0) to two (2) years general business experience. Experience in customer contact environment.

Good human relations, oral and written communication, and effective customer service skills. Proficient typing and Microsoft Office skills. Good organizational skills, attention to details and ability to set priorities.

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED.

Minimum Experience

Zero (0) to two (2) years general business experience or familiarity with state laws regarding self-insurance and working with the various laws, regulations, and requirements. Experience in customer contact environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Good human relations, oral and written communication, and effective customer service skills. Proficient typing and Microsoft Office skills. Good organizational skills, attention to details and ability to set priorities.

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, or Plano, TX and candidates must live within a 50 mile radius. This position is hybrid, meaning employees will be required to work at a FedEx Campus location several times per week.
