Description

The Data Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of data management systems and processes. By championing data integrity, security, and accessibility, this role ensures that our data practices align with and support the organization's strategic vision. The Data Manager will consult with external clients and internal stakeholders to understand their data needs, build relationships, and provide tailored solutions. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with IT and data engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure and leading initiatives to improve data quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance and Policy Development:

  • Define and implement data management policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce data governance frameworks and standards.

Data Systems Management:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data management systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of data across the organization.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, external clients, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between business partners and technology solutions to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Manage data sharing agreements, custom imports/extracts, and sales data ingestion.

Specialized Team Responsibilities:

  • Compliance: Manage Concur imports, Sunshine Act reporting, custom universe imports, and special state-level reporting.
  • CRM: Oversee CRM imports, Veeva Network configuration, data issue troubleshooting, and Vinsights configuration.
  • Incentive Compensation: Implement Varicent DRF, manage client data imports, and configure market definitions.
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy: Consult on data interface agreements, manage FTP onboarding, and oversee REMS dev team.
  • Reporting: Handle custom data requirements, data issue reviews, and client product basket reviews.
  • Strategic Operations: Manage custom imports, data requirements, and CRM refresh configurations.
  • Targeting and Alignment: Coordinate alignments, manage extracts, and update custom attributes.

General Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the SME on data inquiries and act as the client point of contact for all data-related activities.
  • Document data requirements, onboard new data assets, and manage data integration and extracts.
  • Review and solve data issues, consult on data acquisition, and develop requirements for development.
  • Conduct UAT for releases, prioritize projects, and perform custom extracts.
  • Scrub data using Veeva Open Data and recalculate external sales data.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data management processes and systems.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $132,334 to $161,668. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
