Major/Essential Functions Policy Analysis & Compliance Support * Collaborate in research, analysis, and interpretation of federal and state statutes, Texas Administrative Code, and TTU/TTUS policies related to distance education, compliance, and dual credit programming. * Assist in maintaining institutional compliance through documentation, reporting, and tracking mechanisms. * Provide support in creating briefings, summaries, and guidance documents on legislative and regulatory developments. * Contribute to compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.
Administrative Team Coordination * Assist the Managing Director in overseeing administrative staff and ensuring team alignment with office priorities and timelines. * Support task delegation, project tracking, and communication across the admin team. * Help identify and implement process improvements for workflow efficiency and operational consistency.
Project & Tool Management * Lead and/or support special projects, particularly related to ECHS and distance education policy initiatives. * Maintain and monitor project plans and timelines using Smartsheet or equivalent project management tools. * Create visually clear and professional documents, presentations, and reports using Canva, with attention to branding and accessibility.
Internal Communication & Collaboration * Serve as a liaison between the Managing Director and campus partners, administrative units, and external stakeholders. * Foster collaboration and consistent communication across functional areas, including academic colleges and compliance offices. * Contribute to the development of internal policies, training resources, and website updates.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications * Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities independently.
* Experience working with Smartsheet (or similar project management platforms) and Canva (or similar design platforms).
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to present technical or policy content to non-expert audiences.
* Experience in online education, distance learning administration, or dual credit programs (e.g., ECHS).
* Familiarity with Texas Tech University's organizational structure, policies, and internal systems (e.g., Raiderlink, Banner, Sharepoint).
* Prior experience supervising or coordinating support staff.
* Master's degree required in a relevant field such as public policy, criminal justice, education, legal studies, or a related discipline
* High level of discretion, investigative instincts, and attention to detail-especially when navigating ambiguous or complex policy landscapes.
* Demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies, trace source documents, and resolve data or compliance gaps effectively.
* Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field such as public policy, criminal justice, education, legal studies, or a related discipline.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience in higher education compliance, project management, policy analysis, or related work.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex legislation and policy with precision and clarity.
