As our 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you'll take the lead in driving operational excellence on the floor. This pivotal role puts you at the heart of production, where you'll supervise, coordinate, and empower a skilled team to meet and exceed performance goals. You'll partner closely with leadership to align resources, guide daily operations, and tackle challenges head-on-ensuring safe, on-time delivery of top-quality products to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Plan, organize, and delegate work assignments to effectively utilize team skills, man-hours, and equipment while maintaining optimal workflow and efficiency.
  • Production Management: Proactively identify and address production challenges. Implement solutions to minimize downtime, prevent schedule disruptions, and maintain consistent output.
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce plant safety standards by inspecting machines, ensuring the proper use of protective equipment, maintaining clean workspace(s), and identifying hazardous conditions. Lead safety investigations and corrective actions as needed.
  • Employee Safety: Proactively supervise safety, including accident investigation and follow-up, departmental inspections, employee training, and safety rule enforcement.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate and facilitate training programs to enhance team capabilities, support employee growth, and ensure ongoing compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • People Management: Support recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, and performance management of production staff. Provide clear guidance, coaching, and direction to achieve team and organizational objectives.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support production and business goals.



Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing production environment
  • Attributes: Must demonstrate accountability, dependability, and a strong work ethic. Should exhibit a positive, fair approach to team leadership and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting.

  • Employee Training & Engagement: Coordinates and leads ongoing training programs that promote skill development, safety awareness, and team engagement. Fosters a continuous improvement of culture through coaching and performance



Travel and Work Arrangements

  • Role based onsite in Sedalia, MO
  • Minimal anticipated travel less than 5%
