Position Title: Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up

Wage: $20-$28/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 1pm-9pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring for a Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up role in Oconomowoc, WI. This is an associate to hire opportunity.

Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Machine set up

- Robot set up

- Work as per instructions of the lead plastic injection processor, plant manager and engineering; follow all government safety and regulatory policies

- De-gate and assemble parts as required

- Package completed parts per customer requirements

- Monitor inventory of materials and supporting parts to achieve customer deadlines

- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and the proper condition of the machine

- Observe part quality during production monitoring dimensional and cosmetic features

- Stamp molds with relevant part information and clean and store molds

- Maintain samples of parts that meet product specifications

- Dispose of non-quality parts

- Identify and report discrepancies between raw materials inventory records

- Assist with facility related administrative services such as plant cleaning, organization, and basic maintenance

- Document relevant customer communication

- Regrind material as necessary

- Mold production of quality parts according to working instructions

- Keep records of all raw material used during production

- Check the condition of the parts during assembly work and alert relevant party (production coordinator, machinist, engineer) if defects are discovered or suspected

- Work according to ISO processes and procedure

Plastic-Injection Molding / Cast Set Up Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required

- Injection molding certification or relevant experience preferred but not required

- May need to sit, balance, stoop, or kneel

- Able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move up to 75 pounds

- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus

- May be exposed to extreme conditions at a job site, including weather

- The noise level in the work environment can be loud

- Understand ERP principle and the integration, with respect to supply and demand

functions

- Good knowledge of plant processes and documentation

- Good conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact

- Self-motivated, resourceful, and must have good communication skills, written and verbal

- Requires a lot of physical stamina due to the nature of the work

- High level of proficiency operating power tools and adhering to necessary safety measures associated with their use and storage

- Exposure to a noisy environment and outside weather occasionally

- Ability to arrange the goods with minimum waste of space

- Must be able to work with some supervision

- Self-starter, willing to work through and seek answers to ongoing, new requirements

- Certification for forklift operation

- Good working knowledge of all standard Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
